Portsea starts with a par four that is tougher than it looks. The distance to the green is 338metres. This hole is a dogleg left and runs downhill and to the left. Cypress trees line the left and right can cause problems but a good drive will be carried by the fall of the land to a flat lie from which an approach with a lofted iron can be made. The second shot is uphill to a relatively flat green.
